It is a fast and certain method to obtain plants with desired features.
Disadvantages of vegetative propagation:
There is no possibility for variation.
The new plant grows in the same area as the parent plant which leads to competition for resources.

It is the method of obtaining new plants from the parts of parents plant like roots, leaf without the help of reproductive organ
Advantages
*This method is easier and cheaper then collecting seeds
*plants raised by vegetative propagation can bear flowers and fruits earlier than those produced by seeds
Disadvantages
They can easily damaged during storage
They are most likely to carry diseases as diseases of parent is transferred to the daughter plant
