Hello!

Here is your answer!
==========================================================

Vegetative propagation is a form of asexual reproduction of a plant, where only one plant is involved and the offspring is the result of the same parent plant. The new plant is genetically identical to the parent.

It is also known as grafting.

Advantages:

1)Its a fast way for propagation.
2)it helps in saving good characters(like,resistance from diseases) in the plants in every generation.
3)It does not require any formation of seed .

Disadvantages:

1) The plants gradually lose their vigor as there is no genetic variation. They are more prone to diseases that are specific to the species. This can result in the destruction of an entire crop.

2) Since many plants are produced, it results in overcrowding and lack of nutrients.
3)  Very less variations are produced.

Hope it helps!
