Velocity :

The velocity of a body is the distance travelled by it per unit time in a definite direction.

It is a vector quantity.

Velocity = displacement / time taken

Acceleration :

The rate of change of velocity of a body with respect to time is called its acceleration.

It is a vector quantity.

Acceleration = v-u/t

V = final velocity

U = initial velocity
