heya folk !!!!

velocity is speed with direction

speed is simply how fast a object move

speed is scalar and don't have direction

velocity = displacement / time

displacement is shortest distance

so velocity is speed with direction in shortest path

hope this helps u

Velocity of a body in two dimensions is defined as rate of change of position vector with time.
it may be kept in mind that the position vector may change in magnitudes only, may change in direction only.
and it may change in magnitude and direction simultaneously.
it is 2 types.
1)Average velocity.
2)Instantabeous velocity.therfore velocity =distance /time
I hope it helps you.... thanks
