Reticulate venation involves a net-like pattern of arrangement of veins. Most of the angiosperms with two cotyledons in the seed exhibit reticulate venation.

  1. reticulate - design made by veins is net - like on both sides or midrib then the venation is reticulate . leaves having reticulate venation have taproot system. eg- mango , jamun etc.
  2. parallel - design made by veins is parallel to each on both sides or midrib then the venation is parallel . leaves having parallel venation have fibrous root system. eg- aloe vera , banana etc.
