Venation are of two types:

Parallel Venation:

As the name shows, in parallel arrangement ,leaves are arranged parallel to each other.

In monocot leaves,there is parallel venation.

Reticulate venation:

In reticulate venation, vascular strands are fused resulted in net .

Example:

In Dicot leaves , there is reticulate venation.

The two different types of venation are reticulate venation and parallel venation.

Reticulate venation is the arrangement of veinlets in a form of network. Example - Dicotyledons plants.

Parallel venation is the arrangement of veinlets and veins running parallel to each other within the lamina. Example - Monocotyledons plants.

What is a Lamina ?

Lamina is the green expanded portion of the leaf that contains veins and veinlets.
