ventral side is also called as abaxial side

When talking of stomata,they are present more on abaxial side rather than that of adaxial side(dorsal) in dicots

In monocots they are mostly equally distributed..

ventral side is the front side of a leaf
side of leaf facing towards the sunlight and which has more dark green color hence has more chlorophyll is the ventral side
