- The organs which were function in the ancestors but non-functional and reduced in the descendants are called "Vestigial Organs".
- Ex: Hind limbs in python,hind limbs and pelvic girdle in whale ,wings of flightless birds,vermiform appendix,coccyx,pica semilunatis.
