In simple language..
Villi are the small finger like projections in our small intestine..they basically increase surface area for absorption....!!!

The small fingerlike projections on the walls of the small intestine are known as villi.
It increases the surface area for absorption for the assimilation of the minerals.
Also , it has a rich supply of blood vessels due to which the food and the nutrients reach every cell independently and efficiently for further process of respiration.
