What is villi where are they present how do they help in process of absorption?

village present in our small intestine and many places they increase surface area for the absorption and they absorb water from the small intestine

Villi are the finger like projection in the small intestine which increases the area of absorption. Villi are richly supplied by the blood cappilaries which help in transporting the absorbed food to different parts of the body
