Viruses are also microscopic. They can reproduce only inside the host organism which could be an animal, plant or a bacterium. They are neither considered living (organisms) nor non-living......There are still debates going on between the scientists regarding this matter..... That's the reason why they are not included in the group of microorganisms...... But mostly they are considered living because of the kind of action they get into after entering the host organism ( they replicate, divide, cause body malfunctioning and so on) .

Most of them are disease-causing....... But using their this property... There are cures found for diseases......like cowpox virus helped in curing the disease smallpox....... Bacteriophage is a virus which infect bacteria.....

Example- Bacteriophage and Adenoviruses

Disease caused- AIDS (by HIV )
Hepatitis A
Polio
Smallpox
Cowpox

VIRUS IS A GROUP OF ULTRAMICROSCOPIC NON CELLULAR,HIGHLY INFECTIOUS AGENT THAT MULTIPLIES ONLY INSIDE THE LIVING HOST CELL WITHOUT INVOLVING GROWTH AND DIVISION. VIRUSES ARE INERT OUTSIDE THE HOST CELL VIRUSES ARE OBLIGATE PARASITES TOO SMALL TO BE SEEN.
