virus is an infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.

⚪viruses can be defined as organisms which are on the border line of living and non,- living organisms .

⚫they have a proteinaceous covering and DNA strand

⚪they multipy within the host cell itself

⚫ basically, viruses Cannot be classified into living or non - living organisms due to some reasons listed below

⚪ they cannot be classified into living beings because they don't have common characteristics of breathing , nutrition etc..

⚪in addition to this, they crystallize when kept in cold conditions
