 \huge \text{VISCOSITY :-}

✍ When a jar of water and a jar of castor oil are tilted simultaneously on a smooth surface, the two liquids starts flowing.

✍The observation reveals that the flow of water is quick and the flow of castor oil is slow.

✍ To understand the reason for this let us assume the liquid is made up of number of layers one above the other .

✍ Each layer slides over other. But there are frictional forces between the layers. These frictional forces are weak in some liquids and strong in some liquids.

✍ The flow of water is quick due to frictional force between the layers of water. But the flow of castor oil is slow due to large frictional force between the layers of castor oil.

✍ These frictional forces are due to property of the liquid is called  \large \text{VISCOSITY }
