(1) 5 mol of CO2 => 112 L

(2) 0.5 mol of CO2 => 11.2 L

◆ Explanation -

We know that 1 mol of ideal gas occupies 22.4 L of volume at STP.

(1) 5 mol of CO2 -

Volume occupied by 5 mol of CO2 is -

= 5 × 22.4

= 112 L

(2) 0.5 mol of CO2 -

Volume occupied by 0.5 mol of CO2 is -

= 0.5 × 22.4

= 11.2 L
