Voter list is a list containing the people eligible for voting. In India, several times camp from election commission is organized to update it. Advertisement for updating the list are issued in paper or ads are given in local TV channels for updating the list. People attaining the age of voting are asked to fill a form and provide copies of their residential address and age proof certificates. Once Election Commissions is satisfied with their credentials, their names are updated and appear in the voting list.
