Answer:

The vesper theory contains many postulates that are as follows :

  1. the shape of a molecule depends upon the number of valence shell electron pairs around the central atom
  2. pairs of electrons in the valence shell ripple one another since their electron cloud are negatively charged
  3. after repulsion the electron pair achieve definite position around the central atom giving a permanent geometry to the molecule
  4. the electron pairs try to stay as far as possible to acquire state of minimum energy or maximum stability
  5. these pairs of electrons 10 to occupy such positions in space that minimise repulsion and thus maximize distance between them
