the cycle of processes by which water circulates between the earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land, involving precipitation as rain and snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and return to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration.

Hello my friend

Hope you are doing great

Here is your answer

Water cycle is nothing but its a cycle where water is moving ( movement) from different places ( like rivers, seas, valley)

Generally, we think water cycle is where water is recycled but the actual meaning is movement of water in different forms

So, there are several steps in water cycle

Evaporation

Condensation

Transportation

Precipitation

Surface runoff

These 5 steps takes place on and above surface

Infiltration into ground

Ground water

Transpiration

These 3 steps takes place under surface (under ground)

Evaporation

This process is nothing but the water which is in lakes seas oceans are converted to vapours and they move to top of sky due to less weight

Condensation

This is where water get condensed i.e., formation of small tiny droplets in form of clouds

Transportation

This is where clouds are moved from one place to another

Precipitation

This is where clouds are converted to water droplets and fall in the form of rain to the ground

Surface runoff

This is where the water which has fell in form of rain will move again to sea , oceans , lakes ( all water bodies)

After Surface runoff, Infiltration of ground water takes place

Infiltration of ground water

This is where ground gets recharged with water

Ground water

This is where , ground water moves from one place to another

Transpiration

This is where trees take water with roots and after use they will release water vapour again into air through stomata

And Process Repeats.......

Hope it helps
