the water in the crystal of any salt is known as water of crystallisation.
e.g. CuSO4.H2O
CaSO4.2H2O etc.
it's not bonded directly with the salt molecule and it can be removed by applying heat (100℃).
for e.g. when gypsum(CaSO4.2H2O) is heated the POP is formed that is CaSO4.1/2H2O.
