What is water of crystallisation? Give a suitable example.

it is a water molecule forming an essential part of crystal structure of some compounds
or
it is water that comes from crystal substance after applying heat on it

for ex. The snow crystals on our roofs during winter when melts on hot day the water so obtained is water of crystallisation
