Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. This can be caused by throwing trash in water bodies, Burning of fossil fuels,Construction activities,Leaking landfills,Animal waste etc..

The harmful effects are Death of aquatic (water) animals, diseases, destruction of ecosystems, Disruption of food-chains.
