CAUSES:

1)carelesss discharge of harmful toxicated water into the water bodies by industries .

2)Washing of clothes in the river thereby adding synthetic detergents .

EFFECTS:

1》It affects marine life adversely.

2》It also affects human beings indirectly through the food chain.

PRECAUTIONS:

1- Not to use much fertilisers in the agricultural fields as it might get washed away into the nearby water bodies due to rain.

2-Not to dispose dead bodies in the water bodies as in river narmada.
