(ii) Bathing of cattle, washing of clothes and immersing of dead bodies.

(iii) Large scale run-off from agricultural fields where farmers use excessive pesticides, insecticides and chemical fertilisers.

(iv) Effluents and industrial wastes make water unfit for human consumption.
