Watershed management is a concept which recognizes the judicious management of three basic resources of soil water and vegetation, on watershed basis, for achieving particular objective for the well being of the people”. It includes treatment of land most suitable biological as well as engineering measures.

advantages of watershed Management:- watershed management not only increase the production and income of the watershed community but also mitigate draught and flood and increases the life of the downstream dam and reservior it also helping recharging the dams regularly.

watershed management provides emphasises scientific soil and water conservation in order to increase the Biomass production. the main aim to develop primary resources of land and water to produce secondary sources of plant and animal for use in a manner which will not cause ecological imbalance.

ADVANTAGES :- watershed management not only increase the production and income of the watershed community but also mitigate drought and flood and increase the life of the downstream dam and reservoirs. It helps in recharging ground water level also.
