Wavelength can be defined as the distance between two successive crests or troughs of a wave. It is measured in the direction of the wave. Frequency is the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time. A time period (denoted by 'T' ) is the time needed for one complete cycle of vibration to pass in a given point. As the frequency of a wave increases, the time period of the wave decreases.
