Answer:- The term web application can be defined as computer program that perform a specific function by using a web browser as its client. In other words, we can say that web application is a client server computer program in which the client runs in a web browsers. Some common web applications include webmail, online Instant Messaging Services and many other function.

Answer:- The term network can be defined as the interconnected groups of people, objects, companies or computers. A computer network is a link of two or more computers which are connected together to share information among each other.

The purpose of establishing the network are:-

* The connection of networks form networking.

* It provides the user with an access to share several hardware resources like computers printers servers and so on.

Q3. Explain in detail about the various types of network.

Answer:- There are three types of network based on geographical areas are:-

* LAN :- LAN is a type of network in which computers connected in in local unit for small geographical area such as officers departments of manufacturing unit and so on. The connecting media of LAN are cables and Wi-Fi.

* MAN :- MAN is a type of network in which the computers are connected over large graphical area such as city. It may be a single network or maybe a network that connects several LANs. MAN may be operated by a single organisation or by several organisation in the same city for example:- telephone lines, networking of various government departments and so on. The communication media of MAN is wired with Ethernet cable and wireless with satellites.

* WAN :- WAN is a type of network in which computers are connected over large graphical area such as cities states, countries or even the whole world. It's purpose is to establish a connection to share information about computers from one place to other globally. The communication medium of WAN is satellites.
