the undesirable and unwanted plants which grow naturally along with the crops are called weeds

METHODS OF WEED CONTROL:

1. MECHANICAL METHOD :

a) ploughing before sowing of crops helps in the uprooting and killing of weeds with the help of khurpi or horron which may then dry up and get mixed with soil.

b) a seed drill is also used to uproot weeds .

2.CHEMICAL METHODS :

weeds are also controlled by using certain chemicals called weedicides . they are sprayed in the fields to kill the weeds . example for such weedicide is 2, 4 - D
