What is weeding,threshing&harvesting?
Answers
Weeding should usually be done in an early crop stage, as this is more practical (the weed plants are smaller) and more effective. Often, the weeding has to be repeated 2 or 3 times, whenever weeds start to grow again.
Threshing:-Threshing is the process of loosening the edible part of cereal grain (or other crop) from the scaly, inedible chaff that surrounds it. It is the step in grain preparation after harvesting and before winnowing, which separates the loosened chaff from the grain. Threshing does not remove the bran from the grain.
Harvesting:-Harvesting is the process of gathering a ripe crop from the fields. Reaping is the cutting of grain or pulse for harvest, typically using ascythe, sickle, or reaper
Weeding - The procees of removing weeds is known as weeding. It should be done before the weed has flowered. Weeding is necessary as they suck out all the nutrients and water from the plant. It can be done by two methods : weedicides - 2,4D or plucking them out manually
Threshing - The process of removal of grains from their stalk is known as Threshing. It can be done by beating the grains on a rock, combine
Harvesting - The process of cutting the crops for usage after th crop has mtured is knwn as harvesting. It is done by a sickle, harvester or a combine.
