when the wind come from the ocean and hit the wall and brings rainfall this wind is known as westerly disturbances

Western disturbances originate in the Meditteranean sea and blow towards north west India...

They cause rainfall to parts of Punjab, Haryana,etc.

They are beneficial for wheat and barley....
