Wetlands:- The area's with low lying covered with shallow water are called wet land's. Actually it is the transitional zones in between terrestrial & aquatic area's. 6% of the world's land surface is occupy by wet lands. For wetland conservation Ramser Convention was held in Iran.

Marshes:- Those wetlands where grass like plants dominate is known as marshes.
