A wisdom tooth is the third and last of the three molars present in each quadrant of the human dentition.
Explanation:
Unlike other teeth, they don’t erupt at an earlier or definite age or at the same time. They typically erupt between late teens and twenties; however, there are cases when people in their very late stages of life getting them. In fact, people may or may not have all the four wisdom teeth; a few rarely have more too.
Even though they are vestigial without any known proper function, they can cause severe dental issues. If they don’t come out properly, it can lead to poor oral hygiene, inflammation and infection of gums, severe pain and even tooth decay.
