what is work done by the earth in moving around the sun

Zero, because displacement is at right angles to the direction of applied force.

Work done will be zero because of 2 reasons -

force & displacement will B perpendicular & so Work done has to B zero.
as the Earth moves in a circular path the displacement will B zero & as Work done=Force * displacement

N*0=0 so work done will B zero.
