1)World Trade Organisation (WTO) was established in 1995. India is a member of the WTO since 1995.

2)The objectives of the WTO are as follows :a.To remove the obstacles in global trading i.e. free trade between countries.

b. To overcome the protectionist policy of the member states (protection given to domestic economy in the foreign trade. )

c.To coordinate global trade and economic policy.

d. To resolve trade -related disputes among the member states .

3)The area of the activities of the WTO are economic aid import -export ,foreign investment, agriculture, technology, service sector.
