Answer:

What is the best way to understand the world?

When will Lunchclub be active in Bangalore?

Lunchclub is now virtual and finally open to users in Bangalore! Network from home and make mutually valuable connections locally

First this: Get to know yourself. Find out who YOU are and what your strong, weak, fine and dark sides are. Make friends with yourself and make peace with your dark side... You won't get to know yourself that fast -you will find...In fact: You will be busy getting to know yourself until the day you die...but you have to start NOW and try not to fool yourself too often in the process...Which brings me to the second point:

Secondly: Become aware of the numerous ways that your brain is deceiving you and others. Start reading here:

Thirdly: Try to develop an open mind. Don't even start to think that this is easy. It is quite hard and you have to constantly be on the watch. You see: We humans just LOVE our own insights, experiences and "wisdoms". But we are -most people don't like to hear this- quite limited beings. So be humble and strive to be as open as you can be. Start by eliminating the many myths you might believe in from your brain. Do research on the internet and type in such words as "urban myths" or "myths about body language" or "myths about..." Read that stuff and educate yourself. EDUCATION is KEY in understanding the world!

Fourthly: Try to develop methods of finding facts in a world of disinformation, deception and manipulation. Learn/inform/educate yourself on the numerous ways you can be manipulated and on the methods you can employ to get unbiased information. You've got to become your own "life-scientist" using the scientific method and/or using logic/common sense.

Fifthly: DO NOT BECOME RELIGIOUS. IF you do become religious you will automatically reduce your possibilities of fully understanding the world because religious dogma might tell you otherwise. This actually belongs to point nr. 3: Developing an open mind. But since it's a VERY common trap I've given it its own point...

If you do all this then you can greatly help the world because there are really too many ignorant, thoughtless, religiously blind, uninterested, uneducated and totally biased people on this planet. You could be on your way to wisdom.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you...

Good luck! ;)
