Good Noon & Here's your answer:

➡Xylem vessels and tracheids of roots, stems and leaves are linked to form continuous system of water conducting channels going to every parts of plants.

➡It transports water and soluble mineral nutrients from roots throughout the plant.

➡When stomata closes then transpiration stops and water is held in stem and leaf by water molecules cohesion to each other and  adhesion of water to walls of xylem vessels and tracheids.

COHESION-TENSION THEORY DEFINES HOW WATER MOVES THROUGH XYLEM

✔Cohesion theory explains about the movement of water upwards in aplant against gravity through xylem vessel
