2. Pholem mainly contains living cells. They comprise of phloem fibres, sieve tubes, sieve cells, phloem parenchyma and companion cells.
3. Phloem is located on the outer side of the vascular bundle.
4. Phloem transports food materials that are prepared by the green parts of the plants to other parts of the plant.
