☛ xylem is a viscular tissue which carries water and minerals.It consist of four element - tracheids,xylem vessels,xylem parenchyma and xylem fibre.

☛ It helps in conduction of water and inorganic solutes.

☛ In xylem,minerals can move in one direction, i.e.upwards.

☛ Only xylem parenchyma is living ,rest three elements are dead.
