Yanny or Laurel is an auditory illusion of a rerecording of a vocabulary word in addition to added background sounds which is mixed into the recording, as well, and which became popular in 2018 May.

EXPLANATION:

  • The mixed rerecording was created by pupils who played the sound of a laurel wreath while the replay was recorded in the room in the background.
