My favourite source of light is the Sun.

Our Solar system has the Sun at its centre and the Sun plays a very important role in our existence and survival. It is the most important source of energy for life on our planet.

Sun is the brightest star visible from earth. Most importantly, it gives us heat and light. Light from the Sun travels a distance of about 93,000,000 miles, taking about 8 minutes and 19 seconds to reach earth. Sunlight helps plants process food for their growth and development. Plants are an important link in our food chain. Earth’s own rotation and revolution around the Sun gives us days, nights and seasons.
