All Indian citizens are entitled to Universal Adult Frannchise which means
that every person above 18 years of age is eligible to vote irrespective of
caste, creed, gender, language etc.
India is the largest democracy in the world and elections for central and
state governments are held after every 5 years.
India follows a multi party political system and ' one man, one vote'
principle.

The meaning of democracy is of the people, by the people, and for the people. We all know India is a democratic, republic, independent country.
Politically and for the government perspective, democracy means all the work that the government will do should be related for the people, of the people and by the people.
