Mumbai: The state tourism ministry plans road linkages between temples, beaches and forts with the Rs 10,000 crore Mumbai-Goa coastal road being developed by the Union ministry of road transport with a view to develop coastal tourism circuit along the 720-km long coast in the state. Madan Yerawar, minister of state (MoS) for tourism, said that the government also intends to use the 1,600 hectares of land bank with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) to raise funds for providing facilities at MTDC guest houses in the state.
