according to me, the direct action day was the day proposed by the muslim league to enforce their brutality against the fading british governmemt, in order to force them to enact partition.
the partition, brainchild of muhammad ali jinnah and many other muslim men, was to gain a seperate nation apart from the india since they were sure that after independence, the hindu majority will overshadow the basic rights to muslims.
the direct action day oversaw ransom, arson, mass killings, burning of houses, trains, govt. properties, especially in the regions of modern day punjab, rajasthan, kashmir, gujarat, west bengal and hyderabad.
