paddy crop cannot be grown in winter season because paddy crops need a lot of rainfall so they are grown in rainy season the short duration between the Rabi crops and kharif crop is called zaid crop it is mainly grown in March to June season

Zaid means the time or season between rabi and khrarif season. i.e. The months from April/May to August/September. The crops which are grown during zaid season are called zaid crops.
Paddy is a kharif crop and kharif crops are grown during winter season i.e. the months from October/November to March/April. They are grown in these season because it is suitable to grow such crops in these particular season.
