zayed crops are those sown in march and harvested before rainy season. these are grown between the season of planting rabi and kharif crops.
vegetable and fruits like gourd, melon , moong etc. are grown

actually it is zaid crops. on the indian subcontinent the crops grown on irrigated lands which do not have to wait for monsoons in the short duration between rabbi and kharif crop season mainly from march to june are called zaid crops.examples are cucumber, musk melon, water melon, bitter gourd, etc
