It is a type of error in which an instrument gives a reading when the true reading at that time is zero. For example needle of ammeter failing to return to zero when no current flows through it.

⏪ZERO ERROR =IT IS A TYPE OF ERROR IN WHICH AN INSTRUMENT GIVES A READING WHEN THE TRUE READING AT THAT TIME IS ZERO.

FOR EXAMPLE, NEEDLE OF AMMETER FAILING TO RETURN TO ZERO EVEN WHEN NO CURRENT FLOWS THROUGH IT .

☑ IT CAN BE BOTH POSITIVE AS WELL AS NEGATIVE .

♦In Case it is negative , we add that value to the true value and in case it is positive , we subtract that value from the reading.
