The single cell that is formed after the fusion of sperms and eggs is known as a zygote.
Gamete is a haploid cell and zygote is a diploid cell. A zygote is found only in females but a gamete is in both female and male. Gamete is the initial stage, later it gets converted into a zygote.
hope this helps you :)

zygote:- it is a cell which is formed after the fusion of male gamete (sperm) and female gamete (egg).

difference between zygote and gamete is :-

GAMETES:-

1) gametes fuse with each other cell in order to form zygote.
2) gametes are found in both - female and male.

ZYGOTE:-
1) it is the fused product bwtween male gamete and femle gamete (sperm and egg).
2) zygote is present only in female.
