With the example of Sahib-e-Alam, the writer Anees Jung has highlighted many issues and ills of society. Sahib was a boy who represents the life of the children living in their life without even the basic amenities. He was not never given the opportunity of going to school and get educated in his life. Also, he considered rag-picking to be one of the best jobs which provided many valuable items to him. The lack of education and the exposure of the children to such menial jobs are the major concern being highlighted through the character if Sahib.
