Indulekha was the first novel written in Malayalam by O. Chandu Menon.
The heroine Indulekha tends to be very beautiful, intelligent and artistic and the hero Madhavan is a Nayar. He goes out and dresses in foreign manner but then also he has a long tuft of hair according to Nayar custom. So this novel regards us that we should keep in mind our own culture while going and experiencing different culture
