Answer:

The story the Hundred dresses is about a young Polish girl being judged by her classmates. She goes to school with other American children in an American town.

Her classmates tease her for her saying that she owns a hundred dresses despite her being poor. She is forced to the corner of the classroom and rarely talks to anyone. No one teases her for her shabby blue dress or her long unfamiliar name deep within their minds they thought that she was wierd and this showed through their actions without them realising.

This chapter focuses on the feelings of immigrants ,how they suffer from isolation ,culture shock and unacceptance from people. It is also applicable for people who are seen as different from the mainstream, people with mixed heritage and poor people.

This chapter also teaches us about how we fail to understand various people who come across us in our lives.
