Heraklion in Crete, Greece: Its ancientname was Heraklion. After World War I it returned to its original name. Then it was known as Stalislav (1939–41), Stanislau (1941–45) and again Stanislav, until 1962, when it has been renamed toits current name, to honour Ivan Franko.
