Tapodatta was an adamant child who did not believe in studies or knowledge . He was like it is waste of time and it would yeild to nothing . He understands knowledge as worthless . This was changed by lord indra who thought as to make tapodutta realize his mistake
One day a brahmin was building an bridge out of sand which seen by tapodutta made him mock at his ignorance. He made him realize him realize that he is doingan impossible feat and no result would yeild. This was retorted by brahmin who told that if wishes prayers were everything then they would this imposible feat posible and vanished . This way tapodutta realized his mistake and went on to become a great learned scholar
